This is not a cookie cutter furniture piece. It has been hand made by a very skilled craftsman. Made in the USA and a stamp by the maker under table. The chairs are made so well that a 200 lb adult could easily sit at it. It has an additional wedge , screws and tack nails joining the seat so legs never splay out. I have applied a decoupage piece to the top of the table and then applied a Zar exterior varnish to the top. Then I tape the edge of the table with an extension of tape above the surface so I applied a few coats of Zar that created a thick and durable surface to it. Its just like an epoxy resin. This table top can take a beating. Very important as children will be sitting at it. A lot of time and expertise has been applied to this set. Its one that a child will keep throughout their lifetime.
